Dwayne Wade had an off night tonight and the Miami Heat (7-5) fell to the Atlanta Hawks (11-2) Wednesday night.  Wade went only 6-18 from the floor and only got to the free throw line once where he hit 1 of 2.  Wade finished 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks.  The Heat got themselves in a hole and were down by 17 at halftime.  The first half was very close until the Hawks outscored the Heat 28-8 in the final 8 minutes of the second quarter.  They were unable to contain Josh Smith and Joe Johnson.  Smith had 16 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.  Johnson dropped in 5 threes and finished with 30 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds.  Michael Beasley had a very good game for the Heat, scoring 21 points and grabbing 9 rebounds.  Beasley has been very inconsistent this year, and if the Heat can get more games like the one he played tonight then they will be a much better team.

Dwyane Wade is outstanding on both ends for the Miami Heat

Dwyane Wade is one of the most exciting players to watch in the NBA, and not just on offense.  Wade has been doing an excellent job on the defensive end and has been making highlight blocks and great steals leading to easy dunks.  Wade is averaging 2.3 steals per game as well as 1.2 blocks.  These numbers are even more impressive when you consider the offensive load that Wade has to carry, which he carries very well.  Wade is averaging 28.9 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.7 rebounds while playing 39 minutes per game.  Wade makes such a big impact on both ends of the floor that he will definitely be one of the front runners for the MVP award this season.
