The Miami Heat are happy with Daequan Cook

Blogged under Bloglockers, Rookie Reports, Front Page, Uncategorized by alleyoop on Monday 31 December 2007 at 1:07 am

Daequan Cook has been a beacon of light in the horrible season the Heat have had to this point. He has played in 20 games so far this season and he is averaging 19.0 minutes, 8.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. He is shooting 42.9% from the floor, 29% from three point range and 94.1% from the free throw line. Cook will likely see more playing time in the near future as long as he keeps playing well.

Dwyane Wade is stepping up for the Miami Heat

It appears as though D-Wade is back close to 100%. In 6 games this month D-Wade is averaging 38.5 minutes, 26.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game. The only thing that D-Wade hasn’t been doing yet is finishing with dunks but that will come as his knee and shoulder continue to get stronger.

The Miami Heat are off to a terrible start

Blogged under Bloglockers, Game Recaps, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 11 December 2007 at 11:57 pm

The Miami Heat are in last place in the Souteast Division with a 6-15 record which has them 9.5 games behind the Magic. The Heat appear to be sleepwalking most of the time this season and they better wake up before they did a hole that’s too big to get out of. The problem with the Heat is that they are having big problems on offense as they are only averaging 93.2 points per game and that’s not good enough.

The Miami Heat need White Chocolate to hit more shots

Blogged under Bloglockers, Need to step up, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 4 December 2007 at 5:43 pm

The Heat need Jason Williams to shoot better and make teams pay for packing the paint to stop D-Wade and Shaq. He’s only shooting 37.7% from the floor and that just won’t get the job done. Williams is averaging 33.8 minutes so far this season and he’s only scoring 9.2 points per game. The Heat need more from Williams if they are to turn their season around soon.
