Antoine Walker pathetic this season!

Blogged under Need to step up, Injuries by Nothing but Net on Monday 15 January 2007 at 10:45 pm

Antoine Walker has been absolutely horrible for the Heat this season.  He looks like he’s not even interested in playing this season and he’s also been suspended because of his poor conditiong.  Walker has played in 32 games this season and has averaged 24.0 minutes, 8.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.  Walker has a reputation as that of a good shooter but he’s been awful this season.  He’s hitting 40.8% from the floor, but he needs to quit shooting three’s as he only hit 29 of 114 for 25.4%.  He also has been pathetic at the free throw line as he’s only hit 38%.  He will probably find a nice spot on the bench if he doesn’t improve soon.

Heat pull out nice win 119-110 over the Jazz in Utah

Blogged under Game Recaps, Injuries by Nothing but Net on Sunday 14 January 2007 at 4:21 pm

The Heat shot well from the floor as they hit 50.8% of their shots from the floor.  Dwyane Wade had a great game because no one on the Jazz could cover him, so they kept fouling him.  Wade hit an amazing 21 of 23 free throws and wound up with 32 points, 10 assists and 6 steals.  Jason Williams played well despite his bad knee with 20 points and 4 rebounds. Jason Kapano had another solid game with 18 points and 6 rebounds.

The Heat improved to 17-19 on the season with this win.  http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270113026
