Heat fall at home to Magic 107-104

Pat Riley is trying everything as he started Dorell Wright and Jason Kapano in this game.  Both of those guys responded well, but it just wasn’t enough to propel the Heat to a victory.  The Heat did pound the glass in this game, out-rebounding the Magic 51-38.

Dwyane Wade had an outstanding basketball game.  Wade scored 33 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 15 assists and stole the ball 3 times.  Udonis Haslem was tough all night long as he scored 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.  Alonzo Mourning had another good game with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocked shots.  Jason Kapano (15 points, 4 rebounds) and Dorell Wright (12 points, 13 rebounds) each played well in rare starts.

The Heat fell to 4-8 after their loss on Friday Night.

Spurs rout the Heat 106-86

Blogged under Injuries by Nothing but Net on Thursday 23 November 2006 at 1:18 am

What an awful effort by the Miami Heat on National T.V.!  The Spurs built up a 57-38 halftime lead, and Coach Popovich called off the dogs shortly after the half.  The Spurs had no players that played 30 or more minutes in this game.

Dwyane Wade led the way with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.  Young, seldom-used Earl Barron played pretty well with 15 points and 6 rebounds.  Alonzo Mourning was the only other player in double figures for the Heat and he had 10 points.

The Heat fell to 4-7 on the season.

Heat shooting ice-cold in loss to Hornets 101-86

Blogged under Injuries by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 22 November 2006 at 11:31 pm

The Heat only shot 36.8% from the floor and were out-scored 26-15 in the 4th quarter, so they definately deserved to lose this game….and did.

Dwyane Wade was a one man show for the Heat with 29 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists.  Jason Williams came off the bench to add 13 points.  Dorell Wright had a decent game with 10 points and 12 rebounds.  Alonzo Mourning was tough in the paint with 7 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocked shots.

The Heat are looking pathetic so far this season and fell to 4-6 with this loss last night.
